In Italian, "Eccolo" translates to "Here it is!" And fittingly, that's exactly the feeling when you discover this charming hideaway. The passion project of seasoned restaurateur Patrick Lima, Eccolo marks his ninth restaurant. With decades of hospitality experience and beloved establishments including Sombrero, Patron Mexican Grill, Maiz, and the former Italian favorite Pietrasanta under his belt, Lima knows a thing or two about creating places New Yorkers love.
Now, he's returning to his first culinary love: Italian cuisine, teaming up with Executive Chef Victor Carbonara, whose impressive fine-dining background brings a fresh perspective to the classics. It's a family affair, too, with Carbonara's wife, Helen, preparing fresh focaccia and traditional Italian desserts daily.
Step inside and the ambiance speaks for itself. Think plush blush-toned banquettes, rich wood-paneled walls, sculptural accents, gleaming gold-framed mirrors, and intimate brass table lamps casting a flattering glow across crisp white tablecloths. An understated palette of warm neutrals and soft greens lends the space an effortlessly polished feel.
