Software Developer (New York, NY)
About the Position
We're looking for a great developer to join the team. You will be responsible for handling development on the back end and on the front end. You will work directly with our CTO to plan and build new features for both the website and the mobile apps.

You will be implementing entire features on your own, writing both the backend and frontend code to get it working. You will also be expected to quickly learn and adapt to a variety of technologies--such as additional gems or front end frameworks that we work with.

Candidates should be able to develop clear, clean, and maintainable object oriented code. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with front end development and writing object oriented code in Javascript that will work smoothly with the back end, usually via JSON.

Naturally, in such a small team, it will be crucial that candidates can collaborate well with team members. Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain concepts (technical and non-technical) to others are key.

  • 4 year college degree - ideally in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • 1+ years Ruby or similar OOP experience, such as Python
  • 1+ years experience working with Rails or at least another similar MVC framework
  • 1+ years Javascript & jQuery
  • Experience with HTML & CSS
  • Experience with MySQL or a similar database
  • Hands on expierence working in project teams with web & mobile applications
  • Knowledge of AWS and running services in the cloud
  • Experience with nginx and passenger
  • Objective C and the iOS framework

Our team of entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and client focused members is small but mighty. We have never raised any capital, have been profitable since inception and were growing revenues aggressively….. until the pandemic struck into the core of the business.

As we continue our recovery, we are looking for an Account Executive to join the team. Account Executives are expected to convert qualified leads that will be generated for them, in addition to prospecting on their own. If you love the city and all it has to offer, this is the ideal position for you - you are paid to explore the city; eat out, drink out, work out, enjoy spas, attend great events and so much more.

We are built by New Yorkers for New Yorkers.   • Be truly passionate about the New York City hospitality industry, be ready to grind out results during the current torrid times, while having patience for the best days to return.
  • Grow new client relationships by analyzing, building and managing a sales pipeline of businesses in New York City.

  • Competent in Salesforce, Asana & Google Drive..

  • Graduate with a bachelor’s degree from a leading university or liberal arts college.
  • Outgoing, self-starter who can shoulder responsibility in a highly demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of New York City’s hospitality and entertainment industries - and a desire to bring the best of New York City to New Yorkers.
  • Hungry to cultivate and develop new relationships with businesses that will benefit our members.
  • Have excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented, with an unquenchable thirst to grow the pulsd brand.
  • Comfortable closing new business on the phone and in person, in order to achieve monthly revenue goals.
