Starting at 1:00pm on Saturday October 24, 2026, Korean K9 Rescue is taking over Spicy Moon Bowery for its 10th Annual Howl-O-Ween Bash, a wickedly wonderful afternoon where four-legged ghouls, costumed canines, and their devoted humans come together for one epic spooky soirée!

Calling all Bark Vaders, Frankenweenies, and four-legged witches! The entire first floor of Spicy Moon is transforming into a haunted haven for hounds, where furry friends and their humans can mingle, make new friends, and unleash their inner party animals. Behind NYC's most pup-ular Halloween celebration is a mission that's truly worth barking about! Korean K9 Rescue (KK9R) is a volunteer-driven, no-kill rescue organization with roots in Queens, New York, and Bundang-gu, South Korea, dedicated to giving vulnerable, abandoned, and mistreated dogs a second lease on life. With more than 3,500 dogs rescued and rehomed, this extraordinary organization has made it its mission to transform heartbreaking beginnings into happily-ever-afters.
At the heart of their work is a fierce commitment to dogs who might otherwise never get their chance. In South Korea, mixed-breed dogs often face significant adoption barriers, while abandonment, overcrowded shelters, and the dog meat trade put countless animals at risk. Working alongside dedicated partners overseas, KK9R operates a pioneering rescue and rehabilitation center in Bundang-gu, where more than 150 dogs at a time can receive compassionate care, behavioral training, and the TLC they need.
Now marking its 10th anniversary, KK9R's beloved Annual Howl-O-Ween Bash has become a must-attend tradition for the city's dog-loving community, bringing together rescue supporters, proud pup parents, and their fabulously costumed canine companions. Beyond the ghoulish glamour and howl-arious antics, this spirited celebration raises vital funds and awareness for KK9R's lifesaving work.
