The evening will honor Chef JJ Johnson of The Cecil, whose West African cuisine, influenced by the Chinese Vietnamese population of the region, is quickly becoming the talk of the city.
Some of the Cecil's most famous dishes such as sweet and smokey duck, the ginger squid and the udon noodles with West African peanut sauce, braised goat and edamame will be served.
Other chefs present include James Lupembe from Tanzania, Eric Adjepong from Ghana, and Yemisi Awosan from Nigeria.
