Art Deco architecture can be found in all five boroughs, but the largest single concentration of major Deco monuments runs along 42nd Street from 1st to 9th Avenues. The star architect of this walk is crusty modernist Raymond Hood. Participants will visit three of his four New York skyscrapers: the red-and-white-striped Daily News, the black-and-gold American Radiator, and the blue-green terra-cotta clad McGraw-Hill.
