The NYC Brewers Guild knows that New York beer deserves its own spotlight. Founded in 2012, the nonprofit trade association advocates for the city’s independent brewing community, helping local makers grow their audiences, strengthen their businesses, and keep NYC’s beer culture thriving. Today, the Guild represents 45+ member breweries across all five boroughs, and Blocktoberfest is one of its signature annual fundraisers, meaning every glass raised helps support the people brewing right here in New York City.
Blocktoberfest itself has serious NYC beer cred. First launched by the Guild in 2014 as a massive Clinton Hill street party, the festival was created to celebrate the talent, experimentation, and community behind the city’s craft brewing scene. For 2026, it heads outdoors to Culture Lab LIC, bringing 30+ local breweries together in one place for four glorious hours of unlimited sampling, fresh air, and those end-of-September vibes when the sun is still warm but fall is most definitely in the air.
