Sugarcane and sunshine collide this summer as The 2026 Brooklyn Rum Festival transforms Bogart House into a global rum lover's paradise. Born from centuries-old Caribbean sugarcane traditions, rum has traveled from island distilleries to become the world's most celebrated spirit, and this year, over 60 premium brands are bringing that legacy straight to Brooklyn, with pours from Jamaica, Trinidad, Martinique, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Haiti, El Salvador, the Philippines, and even right here in New York City.

Distilled from sugarcane juice, syrup, or molasses, rum's flavor is shaped by everything from fermentation time to barrel aging to the terroir of the island it calls home, which is exactly why no two pours here taste alike. Grab your complimentary tasting cup and start meandering through this incredible space, swirling and sniffing your way through amber-hued expressions that range from bright and grassy to deep, smoky, and molasses-rich.

Names like Worthy Park, Clement, American Cane, Rhum J.M., and Monymusk headline a lineup where some bottles run into the hundreds of dollars, each one a distinct expression of its region's rum-making DNA. Jamaican pot-still rums bring funky, fruit-forward intensity, while French-island rhum agricoles are distilled straight from fresh sugarcane juice for a grassy, terroir-driven profile. Cocktails will be flowing all afternoon too, so there's plenty to sip between sampling straight pours.

Brand ambassadors will be stationed throughout, ready to walk you through the history, production methods, and signature tasting notes behind every single bottle so you'll leave knowing your agricole from your overproof. Cravings kick in? Caribbean cuisine will be available for purchase to round out the experience.

Live music, good friends, plenty of selfies, rooftop views, and a toast-worthy summer Saturday in the city; this is the rum festival that turns Brooklyn into an island getaway...
