Celebrated by Time Out and repping over a decade of being one of the most authentic Spanish gems in the city, Alcala captures the hearts and palates of locals and world travelers alike for its genuine, exceptional approach to its decadent menu.

Just two blocks from Grand Central Station, Alcala is helmed by Chef & Owner Jesus Martinez, whose approach to the menu represents every corner of Spain with tapas, paella, and wines exclusively from the rich country - but its the Northern Spanish techniques and flavors that shine brightest.

Every ingredient is assembled to perfection, resulting in a homemade creation second to none, which is why you will savor every scrumptious morsel as though you are sitting at a bodega in Barcelona.

Gorgeous red wines make way for Montadito de Lomo (pork tenderloin on rustic bread) and Croquettes stuffed with Serrano ham and codfish, which precede a marvelous Paella, the Arroz Confitado version being a star via a confit of rice with chorizo sausage, chicken, shrimp, squid, mushrooms and caramelized sofrito.

Let each wonderful element take you far and away, from the Spanish pottery and paintings adorning the walls, to the warm, welcoming charm of the staff. "Buen provecho!"
