Jim McGettigan is one of the culinary world's longest protagonists, having opened his first restaurant in his native Dublin back in 1964.
The McGettigan's Group has since expanded across the globe, and now incorporates 10 hotels and 16 Irish Gastropubs; each venue though has been successful in maintaining the authentic hospitality of the first venue that is still open - 55 years strong - on Queen Street.
The restaurant's comprehensive menu provides lots of options; from the healthy Below 500 Cal (entrees with under 500 calories) to the hearty In House Specialities (entrees that are sure to fill you up and then some.
The 12oz Rib Eye Steak comes with Portabello mushrooms, overnight tomato confit, triple cooked French Fries and your choice of sauce (the peppercorn is most delightful).
Traditionalists will have a hard decision to make between the Fish & Chips and the Bangers & Mash. The good news however is that you cannot go wrong with either.
