Brilliant farm-to-table cooking, Italian flavors and effortless elegance come together at Piatto, a waterfront restaurant helmed by Chef Chris Maridou (The Loeb Boathouse Central Park, Prime 112 Steakhouse) and Giancarlo Coco (La Villa).
The restaurant's exposed ceilings, poured concrete and wall-to-wall windows speak to LIC's industrial-chic sensibility. An inviting open kitchen lets you see the prized Neapolitan oven in action, churning out tantalizingly crisp and airy pies topped with housemade cheeses and market vegetables.
From the City View Benedict (smoked salmon, poached egg) drizzled with roasted red pepper sauce to the Cuban Sandwich (slow-roasted pork, Swiss, whole grain mustard) in warm, homemade bread these dishes are sure to please.
