Founded by the hospitality group behind Ofrenda (Zagat's "Best Mexican Restaurants in NYC"), Temerario is a gorgeous New Mexican restaurant and bar specializing in beautifully presented, delicious entrees and distinctive cocktails (courtesy of mixologist Christopher Reyes).
While the name Temerario means "daredevil," the rollicking atmosphere and playful vibes belie the serious gastronomy imagined by Chef Mario Hernandez, a veteran of the city's top Mexican restaurants.
Start off with a cocktail, then go savory with the Temerario Burger; a short rib patty glazed with negra modelo topped with manzano cream on brioche. On the sweet side, the Atole Pancakes are made with blue corn meal drizzled with piloncillo syrup, bananas, and candied pistachios are a one way ticket to paradise.
