Nestled on a beautiful block in the East Village, Virginia's is the brainchild of restaurateur Reed Adelson (formerly at Robert De Niro & Andrew Camellini's Locanda Verde).
The decor evokes a Le Marais bistro with barrel-vaulted ceilings, French doors and vintage fine dining menus framed on the walls (collected by Adelson's father). Even the name pays homage to Adelson's mother, lending an air of charming authenticity to this cozy hotspot.
The food here is just as bespoke, made from the most natural ingredients daily using locally sourced ingredients. For brunch, the Stracciatella Toast gets a fine dusting of powdered sugar over a drizzle of wildflower honey; round it out with an organic farm egg for both sweet & savory on one plate. Or try the mouthwatering Corned Beef Hash with poached eggs and pickled ramps.
