After stints at Blue Hill and The Modern (2 Michelin stars), Chef Mena debuted Hecho en Dumbo as a pop-up restaurant, which became an overnight success thus leading to its permanent, current location.
Your New Year's Eve feast starts with a delicious small plate such as the Carne Tartara (steak tartar, roasted chanterelle, chile morita). For a hearty main course, there is the Carnitas, the meltingly tender slow-roasted heritage pork with winter vegetables.
Choose from a trio of outstanding, house-made desserts; Pastel Imposible is an especially tempting Mexican flan & almond chocolate cake.
The cocktails here are just as inspired as the food. The Margarita de Tamarindo or the Esmeralda (Bombay gin, mezcal, cucumber, basil, lime) make the perfect pairings to this thrilling feast.
