Make Valentine's Day 2016 one for the record books by reserving a table for two for a very special 5 course dinner with wine pairings and a jazz performance at private members' club, Parlor.
Parlor has invited Executive Chefs Matt Rojas (Eleven Madison Park, Rouge et Blanc) & Gabriele Riva (Nobu) to put together an exquisite Five Course Savory Tasting Menu, where each course comes with red & white wine pairings from Tablas Creek Vineyard.
Entertainment will be provided by jazz artist and composer Wayne Tucker, who the New York Times praises as "a young trumpeter who improvises in careful strings of melody."
Finally, on the Valentine's Take Away menu is a curated selection of sweet treats from Amadei Chocolatier of Tuscany, ensuring that the fun continues past Sunday February 14, 2016...
Celebrate your Valentine with two of the city's most esteemed chefs, at one of the city's most esteemed clubs, where you will mix and mingle with New York's movers and shakers.
Guest Chef Matt Rojas oversees the savory portion of the tasting menu for the evening. Chef Rojas, of Eleven Madison Park fame, was recently inducted into the venerable BCA (Best Chefs America) guide book. Chef Rojas has worked with luminaries Nobuo Fukuda, Daniel Humm, Wesley Genovart and Susur Lee.
Guest Chef Gabriele Riva excels at the sweet portion of the menu; his modernist dessert concepts have been published in various culinary journals. He began his professional career at Pasticceria Piave in Italy, eventually becoming the Executive Pastry Chef for Nobu London, and later the director of pastry at Nobu Manhattan.
A red and white pairing flight from Tablas Creek Vineyard, named best winery in America, accompanies Valentine’s dinner. Tablas Creek produces signature red and white Rhône blends that are consciously modeled after the Chateau de Beaucastel wines from Chateauneuf du Pape. Head sommelier Mitchell Leonard leaves spares no expense as he puts together the evening's wine menu.
The evening will also have you catching a glimpse of New York's jazz scene as artist and composer Wayne Tucker, who has played at some of the world’s greatest jazz venues and with many of today’s jazz stars, entertains you throughout the evening.
Finally, Chocolate Academy of London’s prestigious “Golden Bean” winner Amedei Chocolatier of Tuscany gives you a most splendid selection of chocolates to take home with you.
