Founded by the team behind Fool's Gold in the East Village, Voltaire is an intimate French-Creole bistro serving ingredients-focused dishes and curated wines.
In keeping with the French tradition, all sauces are made freshly in-house, while breads are locally sourced from Bien Cuit. Gorgeous local harvest makes the Heirloom Tomato & Avocado Salad (lemon-poppy vinaigrette, mizuna) simply extraordinary; Southern connoisseurs shouldn't miss the warm Hushpuppies dunked in herb buttermilk sauce.
For the main event, try the Pig Wings Over Greens or the vegetarian Jackfruit BBQ served on fluffy chive pain au lait. Add to that the house signature Hot Honey Butter Biscuits, tantalizingly flaky and oversized, or the Mac & Cheese baked to perfection in 4 cheeses, bacon, and breadcrumbs.
