DETAILS

Since Italian Chef Stefano Callegari introduced his Trapizzino to Rome in 2008, the dish quickly became one of the city's most loved foods. A decade later, the Trapizzino landed in New York City to much acclaim from The New York Times et al.

Grab this $39 pulse (a $59 value) for a unique 3 Course Dinner For Two that includes 1 Appetizer, 2 Trapizzinis, 1 Dessert and 1 Bottle of Red or White wine.

Start your meal with a wide selection of appetizers, then move onto the Trapizzino - a triangle of delicious bread that is soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, split open and filled with a choice of chicken, beef meatballs, eggplant or even the exotic beef shoulder.

End your feast with a slice of Olive Oil Cake served alongside a dollop of mascarpone. As you enjoy the last sips of your Italian wine, plan your next visit for something a little different; the rotating roster of seasonal fillings will have you keep coming back for more...

Created by acclaimed Rome-based pizzaiolo Stefano Callegari in 2008, Trapizzino is an original invention that marries Old World recipes with a modern format. Today there are seven locations in Rome, two in Florence, and only one in the U.S. - found on the Lower East Side.

Each Trapizzino takes two days to make; between the 20 hours that it takes to leaven the dough and cooking the dishes low and slow, it is not surprising that each Trapizzino is the product of patience and love.

Once you've warmed up with the Tuscan Kale Soup, it's onto the restaurant's namesake dish - the Trapizzino: a fresh, fluffy, pizza bianca sliced open and stuffed full with saucy fillings like the Pollo Alla Cacciatora (chicken, garlic, white wine, rosemary) or the Zucca e Mandorle (butternut squash, almonds, tomato, parmigiano reggiano, basil).

From the cucina romana, straight to the heart of the Lower East Side. If you like pizza, you'll absolutely love Trapizzino...

All selections are made from the restaurant's full dinner menu.

Your $39 Dinner For Two (a $59 Value) Includes:

  • 1 Appetizer (choice of Antipasti, Suppli, Insalata e Zuppa; up to a $7 value).
