The first solo venture from John McNulty (Swine, Cocktail Kingdom Hospitality Group), Thief is ready to become your favorite bar. A modern take on the neighborhood watering hole, Thief is inspired in design and energy by the 1980's NYC graffiti, art, and music scene.
The space designed by Jason Volenec of Volenec Studio (Bodega Negra, Miss Lily’s, Butterfly) normally channels the edginess of a bygone era, but for this epic fête, the annual Miracle Pop-Up takes over to give you equal parts boozy extravagance and kitschy, nostalgic comfort.
The menu of eats on deck reps fresh ingredients from small producers that McNulty discovered throughout his years in the restaurant industry. Tonight, you'll adore the Mini Elote Empanadas with spicy guajillo sauce, not to mention Mini Short Rib Empanadas, Grilled Cheese, and Devils on a Reindeer's Back.
