When she arrives in New York, Thaimee scored a spot in the coveted kitchen of Jean-George Vongerichten’s Spice Market. From there, she opened Ngam in the East Village, Thaimee Box, and Thaimee Magic, known for “magic noodles” that turn from blue to purple with the squeeze of a lime.
Thaimee Love is her ode to homestyle Thai cooking with a contemporary New York City twist. As you pop open your bottle of Cava, a welcome platter of appetizers will arrive to your table. Settle in amongst cozy hues, exposed brick, and the buzz of a local hotspot.
The entrees will follow, such as Laab Ribs topped with Isaan Thai style "laab" seasoning, as well as the famed Ramen Pad Thai Carbonara, not to mention Hormok Pla - a steamed fish curry soufflé of red curry paste, whiting fillet, young coconut meat, coconut milk and lots of Thai herbs in a banana leaf cup.
