DETAILS

Boasting accolades from a 5-Star Yelp rating to Winner of the 2018 and 2019 JapanFes New York City Ramen Contest against worthy competitors from New York City and Tokyo, Shinka Ramen has solidified its status as a champion, as well as one of the most coveted ramen hotspots in the city.

Grab your $65 pulse (a $101 value) for a transcendent 2 Course Dinner For Two that includes 1 Appetizer, 2 Ramen Entrees, and 2 Sake or Shōchū Flights to heighten every exquisitely elevated flavor.

Toast your silky sake or sharp shōchū and dive straight into glossy, tender Shinka Pork Ribs slow braised, crisped, and glazed with honey sriracha sauce.

ABC 7 News says it best: "If ramen is what you're after, look no further." Yelpers profusely label Shinka “the best ramen,” and it's no surprise as a steamy bowl of Beef Bone Marrow Gyukotsu arrives packed to the brim with marrow broth, braised beef brisket, daikon radish, crisped garlic chips, and more.

Nestled within the glistening Wyndham Hotel on the Bowery, Shinka's atmosphere is modern with nods to East Asian influences, transporting you to the bustling streets of Japan as you eat in noodle-induced paradise...

LOCATION
MERCHANT

In a city full of discerning foodies and cultivated gourmands, ramen has always been a point of contention between those who think they know which spot is the best, and the others who believe they're the true holders of the brothy holy grail.

Generally accepted amongst both parties is Shinka Ramen, helmed by Chef Waki Ng and his 20 years of Japanese cooking, plus time spent as sous-chef for Morimoto's Momosan. His philosophy is that every bowl begins with the careful selection of superb ingredients. Called a "noodle treasure trove" by TimeOut, this Bowery gem pleases even the most judicious of palates.

Begin with the Bone Marrow, Pulled Beef Ribs, and Steamed Boa Buns starter, generously stuffing the fluffy, melt in your mouth boa with its carnivorous accoutrements. Or try your hand at some Shinka Pulled Pork Nachos piled high with braised pork shoulder, crisped wonton skin, kimchi, pickled red onions, spicy mayo, yuzu salsa, & chashu sauce.

Onto the main attraction. Between the Spicy Tonkotsu (rich pork bone & chicken broth, chili sauce, pork belly chashu, chopped kimchi, garlic, and black garlic oil), the Smoked Duck Ramen (roasted duck & vegetable broth, smoked duck breast, bok choy, lotus root, cilantro), and vegetarian options, among others, it's highly possible you'll have a hard time choosing.

Amidst sips of curated fine sakes or shōchū, let your senses be transported to lands far, far away within this intrinsically authentic jewel...

All selections will be made from the restaurant's Full Dinner Menu.

Your $65 Dinner For Two (a $101 Value) Includes:

Ramen-loving New Yorkers give Shinka an outstanding 5 stars on Yelp from 235+ reviews:

  • ”This is it. This is the place with the most amazing ramen ever. Top to bottom excellence. We had the ribs, some buns, and ramen. With so much competition around, it's hard to say something is the best, but trust me, you won't be disappointed!”

  • ”I had the bone marrow ramen and it is was the tastiest ramen dish that I had ever had. If I could, I would give it an additional star.”

  • ”My friend and I have had tons of ramen before, in New York and otherwise. We both agreed that Shinka's ramen was the BEST ramen we've ever had in our lives.”
