Star Chefs Rising Star NYC Award-winner Chef Fred Maurer (BKLYN Larder, Braeburn, Perilla, and Bar Boulud) takes his creativity & paints a masterpiece of flavors on the plate.
Cuddle up to a modern riff on the classic diner setup, sipping a Que Sera Sera cocktail with rum, banana liqueur, plantain syrup, and chocolate bitters as you devour Grilled Prawn Cocktail with horseradish & cocktail sauce, followed by mains like Steak Frites with green peppercorn sauce, or Pan Roasted Monkfish with spaghetti squash and cacio e pepe sauce.

They, like you, are ready for crave-able dishes that are equal parts comfort food and culinary creativity.
Chef Fred Maurer is ready to take on the job, of course. From the Midwest to Midtown, Maurer is an award-winning chef with experience at restaurants including BKLYN Larder, Braeburn, Perilla, and Bar Boulud. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute at the winner of the Star Chefs Rising Star NYC Award (2015), Maurer has built a name for himself in the industry.
As you take a swig of The Green Door libation (honey vodka, pistachio orgeat, rosewater, orange blossom, lime, egg white), bite into Spanakopita layered with fresh spinach, feta cheese, Greek yogurt, phyllo dough, butter, and nigella seeds.
For mains, try the Shrimp & Grits with kimchi, tomato confit, and chili crisp, or the Grilled Pork Chop Scarpariello, aka Berkshire pork chop, spicy cherry peppers, broccoli rabe, and grilled sourdough. For dessert, you can't beat the Brûlée Banana Split - think vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce, maraschino cherry, whipped cream and candied nuts.
