Food is given the sophisticated treatment at Millesime, an elegant French restaurant in the Carlton Hotel, spearheaded by famed Executive Chef Laurent Manrique and lauded by Sam Sifton of The New York Times.
Sit yourself down for a dinner in the classic central dining room, which offers a timeless elegance that transcends passing restaurant fads. Start off with a bottle of wine; the list here includes some 200 vintages from France, Italy and the United States. Eater deemed the selection “well-curated.”
Split a pair of appetizers, like Manrique’s deliciously creative take on Caesar salad (grilled romaine with smoked cod, Parmesan and lime) and white-bean soup with a Parmesan crisp, tomato conserves and herb pistou.
Then, dig into satisfying entrees like Icelandic cod with mustard-glazed leeks and saffron rigatoni with lobster and trumpet mushrooms. Meat lovers will rejoice over the NY Strip Steak served with fries!
Finish your meal with a classic yet inventive dessert, like Thai coffee tres leches with lychees and raspberries or chocolate crepes with pistachio ice cream.
