As one of the only painting studios in the US that allows you to paint on t-shirts, tote bags, and hats - in addition to the classic canvas - La Pittura was founded on a love for painting and pop culture, and has now evolved into an eclectic, multi-faceted art studio that can fit up to 100 painters!
Owners Vasu & Mary opened up their first tiny studio in a shared space in 2016, gaining so much success that they moved to a newer, bigger Chelsea spot that enjoys a constant flux of curious newcomers and experienced artists.
Guests are invited to BYOB, so whether wine fuels your artistic flair or beer gets the creativity flowing, bring your own bevvies or order a few at the bar inside. Expect to sip and swish your brush in La Pittura's bright, airy, and colorful space.
Get messy if you must, and experiment without a care in the world as canvas, paints, brushes, small snacks (chips, crackers, etc.) and a smock are provided by the studio.
With a killer playlist and even better vibes, you'll soon discover your hidden talent for whipping up a triumph worthy of displaying in your apartment...
