For 30+ years, Gigino has been a cornerstone of the community under the stewardship of owners & husband-and-wife duo, Bob Giraldi and Patti Greaney, alongside Executive Chef Luigi Celentano. Owner Bob Giraldi's journey includes working alongside acclaimed Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, while his co-owner and wife Patti Greaney is the visionary behind the successful StarChefs. Gigino Trattoria is their passion project, born from a trip to Italy in 1983. There, Giraldi met kitchen maestro, Luigi Celentano, who has since served as Gigino's Executive Chef, bringing his culture, expertise, and skills to the table.
Brunch is quintessential to New York life, and with that in mind, Chef Luigi adds his own spin. Mimosas, Bellinis, and Prosecco will heighten plates of Crostini di Avocado e Salmone (toasted focaccia bread, avocado, smoked salmon, onions, cucumber, tomato salad) and Panino Gigino (toasted focaccia, breaded chicken, scarmoza cheese, prosciutto, broccoli rabe) - it's absolute perfection!
