Firefly's Head Chef, Vanessa Ceballos, began exploring her passion for food in 2008 by being accepted to and excelling at the gastronomy institute Centro de Capacitación de Alta Cocina in Venezuela. From there, she unveiled her New York City hotspot - a favorite amongst in-the-know brunch mavens.
After you've swigged from endless glasses of libations, slice into the Huevos Ibericos - a grilled smoked gouda and mozzarella panini topped with two fried eggs and prosciutto slices with shaved parmesan. Head Chef & Founder Vanessa Ceballos made her lifelong dream of opening a restaurant in New York City a reality with Firefly, bringing on her parents and daughter to make you feel welcomed like family, from the moment you enter to the time you savor your final bites and sips.
Ceballos' passion for culture and the culinary arts led her to The Big Apple where she crafted Firefly's stellar menu full of innovative, original dishes, each drawing from her time spent in Madrid, Seville, Morocco & Portugal, and mirroring the quaint, original bistros she explored during her travels.
