In true Italian fashion, the menu here focuses on the best ingredients, prepared with respect for tradition and a passion for quality. From homemade pastas, to Caprese made with heirloom tomatoes, and even zucchinis grown from imported Sicilian seeds - the secret to exceptional taste is in Gente's labor of love.

Located in the heart of vibrant Midtown, just steps from Bryant Park, the university clubs, and boutique hotels, Gente Ristorante is a sophisticated Milanese vision inspired by owner and executive chef Jay Mitchell's 100+ trips to Italy.
Start your meal with the Crostini of Kobe Meatballs, marinara and mozzarella. In the primi section, you'll find splendid renditions of authentic pastas, like the sinfully delicious Papardelle Portofino. Meanwhile, the luscious Risotto Milanese (sauteed wild mushrooms, saffron) is a tribute to the legendary dish at the Hotel Principe Savoia in Milan.
The tour of Italy continues with luxurious entrees. The Osso Bucco, a Milanese specialty of braised veal shank, is fall-off-the-bone tender in an earthy mushroom sauce, while Pollo Piccata is a masterpiece of creamy white wine sauce contrasted by piquant lemon, juicy chicken breast and salty capers.
Your primi and entree courses will be paired with curated red and white wine selections, for the gorgeous interplay between food and wine that is the pride of Italian culture.
