Founded in 1995 by Eric Stiller, the Manhattan Kayak Company is New York City's premiere kayak school and touring company. Eric's father, Dieter Stiller, was pivotal in bringing kayaks to the United States from Europe in commercial quantities in the late 1950's.
Over the past 3 decades, Manhattan Kayak Company hasprovided kayak and stand up paddle board tours and instruction to thousands of satisfied customers in the beauty and majesty of the New York Harbor.
During the SUP Basics 1 Class you will spend your first 10 minutes learning about the board, paddle, basic strokes and balance. Then, under the guidance of a Senior Instructor, you will enter the Hudson and experience the river like never before!
