Synesthesia NYC invites you to come together to educate your senses and consume delicious elixirs that enhance our lives. The organization was started by Amanda Ladd who has years of experience in the bar and restaurant world and loves to help people become confident wine and sake drinkers through her social classes.
Wine Tasting & Cheese Pairing Class on Mondays from 6pm-8pm - This class covers the wine basics. An instructor walks the group through the senses to analyze the appearance, nose, and palate of the wine. You will learn to identify what your tasting and know what to look for when pairing wine with food. 6 major varietals are poured and paired with cheeses that further enhance the experience. From bubbles to deep reds, there is something for everyone! You will leave with a practical knowledge of wine that will arm you with confidence at the wine store, a restaurant, or party.
Sushi Pairing & Sake Tasting Class on Sundays from 5pm-7pm - This class covers the sake basics. You will learn how its made, where its from, and what to look for when buying sake. An instructor walks the group through 5 premium sakes and sushi dishes paired to bring out the best flavors in each. Bamboo 52 offers several dishes from savory to sweet that are awesomely paired with delicious and refreshing sake. This is an appetizing experience that will prime your palate for a night on the town!
