Familiar faces find themselves in unexpected surroundings at Guest House: Welcome Home, a new exhibition at The Wang Contemporary marking artist Zhou Xuerong's institutional debut in the U.S. Opening September 11, the show features life-size wax sculptures of recognizable female icons from American pop culture placed within distinctly Chinese settings, creating a playful and thought-provoking exploration of identity, culture, and globalization. Founded by Ying and Alexander Wang, The Wang Contemporary will open the exhibition free to the public every weekend for the rest of September, continuing its mission to amplify Asian voices on the New York art scene.
