For the second year in a row the New York City Department of Transportation is working with NYPIRG and Envirolution to give away free bicycle helmets. Each helmet will be properly fitted for the individual, therefore anyone wishing to receive a helmet must be present.
Additionally, to avoid liability issues, each person receiving a helmet must sign a waiver; if you are under 18 years old on the day of the fitting, your waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. There will also be a Green Film Screening, a treasure hunt game at the Get to Know Your Local Sustainable Community Table.
