Sure, you could watch the Olympics at home or that bar next to your apartment, but a viewing party at a lush biergarten is so much more fun. Brooklyn Museum is opening its gorgeous biergarten within the Steinberg Family Sculpture Garden on Thursday August 18 for live coverage of the games (which should be track & field, taekwondo, and volleyball according to schedule). The biergarten is only open on Saturdays normally, and the admission is free on Thursday nights as usual, so there is no better time to check it out. There will be a cash bar as well as pop-up talks about the sports photography exhibit "Who Shot Sports: A Photographic History, 1843 to Present."
