Halloween in NYC doesn't get more iconic than this! The 53rd Annual Village Halloween Parade takes over Greenwich Village on Saturday, October 31 at 7:00pm, bringing thousands of costumed New Yorkers, larger-than-life puppets, performers, dancers, and pure Halloween mayhem to the streets. This year's “Body & Soul” theme celebrates the Year of the Horse, led by a spectacular new Firehorse performance featuring puppets created by MacArthur Fellow Basil Twist, with legendary downtown performance artist Joey Arias serving as Grand Marshal. Watching is completely free, and anyone who arrives in costume is invited to join the parade itself — rain, shine, or wind.
