To celebrate the opening of its Bryant Park location, Whole Foods is offering a day of special offers beginning with a "bread breaking ceremony" at 8:45am. Would it work like a Champagne bottle breaking ceremony for the christening of a new ship? (A baguette smashed into the building?). The rest of the day, expect more conventional events like tastings and giveaways at its various stations, including a raw bar by Daniel Boulud, Simit + Smith, Seed + Mill with its own tahini mill, and a Toast bar.
