One of the most fabled and convivial events in New York City, the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party attracts all generations of life’s beautiful tapestry to this technicolor gathering of costumed guests and world-class performers on the grounds of Governors Island.
As the late legendary photographer and Lawn Party regular Bill Cunningham once declared, "I can't think of a more delightful way to spend a weekend in the city"; his photographs of the event brought it to worldwide attention in The New York Times, among other leading publications.
You'll be shimmying and boogying to the world's finest 1920s bands, headlined by Michael Arenella And His Dreamland Orchestra. The Dreamland Follies, a 10-lady dance ensemble, will invoke the glamour of the Ziegfeld's heyday, while the Carnasie Wobblers will scintillate with their scandalous Charleston numbers.
Other activities include dance lessons, vintage portrait sessions at the Paper Moon Booth, a bathing beauties promenade, 1920s motorcar exhibit, a vintage clothing market, a pop up barber shop, croquet, and so much more.
Rosé Lover ticket holders will enjoy a chilled bottle of VieVite’ Côtes De Provence Rosé and an assortment of other treats. Plus, gourmands will fill up on fare from a bevy of food trucks stationed on the lawn, while drinks such as Aperol Spritz's, themed-cocktails, and then some will be available for purchase.
