This weekend, it's all about skin contact. Come taste half a dozen wines made from white varietals that have seen anywhere from 24 hours to multiple months of skin fermentation. This method of production is ancient, but it’s modern-day popularity has inspired many of today’s winemakers to create beautifully hued and complexly fruited wines from varietals you’re already familiar with, like sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc, pinot gris, and some that you might not have heard of before. Producers include Punt Road, Scholium Project, Gravner, Folk Machine, Pheasant's Tears, and Venica e Venica.
