Begin your night of transportive gourmet curiosity with time in the presence of a tarot card reader and incense burning in the gorgeous alcove at Walker Hotel, featuring a nouveau art-deco style interior, then making your way over to Society Cafe where Executive Chef Nicholas McCann will walk you through a Taurus-themed 4 course feast.
More an immersive experience, Chef McCann will be on deck to present his creations, meet & greet with attendees, and explain the inspiration for dishes like the New Harvest comprised of tuna tartare, pomegranate, green strawberry, and nori tuile, as well as the Spring Offerings - think tender grilled beef cheek, smoked new potato, asparagus, ramps, and rosemary.
While you dine, sip on a Raging Bull Cocktail (scotch, lemon, mint, pomegranate), wrapping up with a sweet dessert, a fully-stocked goodie bag, and a fabulous excuse to celebrate & revel in Taurus season...
The Astrology Dinner Series at the elegant Walker Hotel Greenwich Village is back, ready to serve up a night of indulgence via a themed four-course meal that highlights the distinct traits of a Taurus, as well as the tastes and desires of the sign, alongside tasty cocktails and mocktails for a fully immersive experience.
Inspired by the spirit of the Golden Age in NYC, the architecture mirrors Georgian revival towers & rich romantic interiors – Walker Hotel Greenwich Village is reminiscent of New York’s early days yet, inspired by today’s vibrant thriving culture. Society Cafe upholds that ethos with its interiors, boasting a cozy vibe & elements like a skylight and emerald banquettes.
Executive Chef Nicholas McCann (TESSA, The Milling Room, Corkbuzz) will draw on his training at The French Culinary Institute to whip up a menu that reflects the zodiac sign. But before you devour, you'll enter the stunning lobby alcove at the Walker Hotel for some tarot card readings and luscious incense that wills the air and ignites your senses.
From the lobby, you'll head over to Society Cafe where Chef McCann will present you with a procession of fantastic plates reflective of the sign. Think "Out of the Ash Comes a New Leaf" with Jasper Hill triple cream, fig, and rosemary, as well as the Spring Vegetable Lasagna & it's rich ensemble. Add in a cocktail or a Life's Little Pleasure's Mocktail (strawberry & mint fizz), listening intently as the chef walks you through every element of his concoctions.
