Named after both the after affect of drinking red wine and the color of a giraffe's tongue (nodding to the worldly influence), The Purple Tongue is helmed by Restauranteurs Otis Banks & Peter Cecere, who were inspired by their travels. Visionary local Marni Halasa and manager Chloe Rizzo (of Boca di Bacco) are also on board, making this a collaborative feat feel like a community jewel.
The drinks will flow endlessly as you not only admire beautiful curated local art, but the fact that your tipples are made using top notch booze, freshly-made purées, and juices squeezed on site for maximum freshness.

Formed in friendship, The Purple Tongue was born from owners Otis & Peter’s experiences living and traveling abroad in Berlin, London, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Expect an air of inspiration & wanderlust, dotted with paintings by local artist Ned Martin and a handcrafted purple giraffe by a Manhattan Plaza artist.
