The alfresco terrace - covered and heated during winter - provides the perfect perch to eat, drink, catch up and people-watch at this perennially chic intersection. Inside, the white brick walls, resplendent chandeliers and the black-and-white checkered floor throw it back to Munich with a sexy Meatpacking edge.
Start with the Salmon Ceviche (yuzu, yellow pepper purée, ginger) that manages to be both rich and refreshingly delicate. For heartier palates, the Steak Flatbread is a heavenly melange of gorgonzola, rosemary oil, and red pepper chimichurri.
Next, try the Beer-Braised Short Rib (garlic mashed potatoes) deepened by an earthy homemade jus. For dessert, the Opera Cake (almond sponge, coffee ice cream, candied almond) makes for a fitting finale.
