Apres ski has arrived in the East Village thanks to The Cabin, an upscale rustic concept restaurant whose innovative cuisine and chalet-esque decor have made it not only a haven for gastronomes, but an escape for New Yorkers who yearn for a woodsy sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle.
Go on an adventure with your $49 pulse (a $100 value) for a 2 Course Dinner for Two that includes 3 Plates, 1 Dessert, and 1 Bottle of Wine.
As you nestle into a cozy leather banquette, admire your surroundings. The intention is to create a mountainous excursion without leaving Manhattan, so much so that there are 3 real trees in the restaurant imported from Minnesota and placed inside the space, making nature as central to your evening as your succulent meal.
The menu encourages sharing, and with so many exquisite options to choose from, there are ample opportunities to try favorites like the Bone Marrow + Toast served with greens, or Fried Chicken sided with fresh coleslaw. Finish your feast with S'mores the likes you've never seen, torched table-side for a hint of decadence.
Polish off a bottle of wine and get a taste of the great outdoors while achieving a perfectly satisfied appetite...
Over the avenues and through the streets, to The Cabin we go! Steps from gorgeous Tompkins Square Park lies the modern version of your dream cottage at the summit of some whimsical, foresty peak.
Without taking a road trip or booking a flight, The Cabin welcomes hungry gourmands in New York City to dine amongst ambient, low lighting à la vintage lanterns, wood-paneled walls brought over from Aspen, rich shades of blue, and warm leather hues to create an instant feeling of comfort.
Chef Dennis Aponte brings years of experience to the table. Since he started at the age 12 under the guidance of his Peruvian grandmother and mother, Aponte later fine tuned his skills working with Celebrity Chef Jordan Andino, who encouraged his passion for food even more before joining the team at The Cabin.
The environment is ramped up by indulgent menu items that are meant to be shared with your dinner mate. Truffle fries are a regular favorite to kick off this culinary affair, followed by Glazed Bacon as thick as a Jane Austen novel.
Forks will fight over fluffy Atlantic Salmon Cakes studded with sun-dried tomatoes and dripping in roasted red pepper mayo, and the ricotta cheese and pomodoro sauce-covered House Meatballs will have you craving more.
A hand-selected bottle of wine ensures the chatter keeps up its animated flow, and flavors are put on an epicurean pedestal from which you won't want to come down.
The grand finale is the luxurious S'mores selection, rounding out your evening next to the fire of a brulée torch melting marshmallow cream over chocolate ganache and sprinkled with a molasses crumble rather than one filled with ash and smoke.
A night at The Cabin is destined to leave you feeling like a truly happy camper...
All selections can be made from the restaurants full dinner menu.
