Think: the Pressed Duck on Toast by John Hutt of Museum of Food & Drink (an El Bulli Institute alum), the Duck Bahn Mi by She Wolf Bakery (selected as one of "Five Great New York Breads" by The NYTimes), and other inventive, tantalizing treats. And don't forget about the handmade artisanal beers and signature cocktails!
The proceeds from this ebullient affair will benefit the Slow Food NYC Urban Harvest, a program of free food education for urban youth. Enjoying good food to give good food; now that's the definition of good vibes.
Since 1989, Slow Food NYC has worked to preserve sustainable traditions and foster consciousness awareness of how we make and eat our food.
Join Slow Food NYC as it showcases the bounty of local, cage-free, heritage-breed ducks raised by Hudson Valley Duck Farm in beautiful Ferndale, NY. You'll taste dazzling duck delicacies created by NYC chefs, and help select the winner of the best in competition!
Wash it all down with handmade artisanal beer from La Birra di Meni, local brews from Brooklyn Brewery, and a signature duck-friendly cocktail designed by ICE's Director of Beverage Studies Anthony Caporale.
This locavore extravaganza will support Slow Food NYC Urban Harvest, a program providing free good food education to NYC youths at its urban farm in East New York, and throughout the South Bronx, East Harlem, the Lower East Side, and Brooklyn.
