Begin your feast of flavors via a plate of their signature Tarama, a dip of red caviar whisked into a light mousse with olive oil and lemon juice. Next up, opt for Seabass, aka grilled whole fish drizzled with lemon juice and olive oil. Lest we forget, the Lamb Shank is divine, wrapped with eggplant & baked in light tomato sauce.

Specializing in traditional Turkish Cuisine with a touch of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspiration, Sahara's Turkish Cuisine in Kips bay is a special oasis, where locals gather to unwind over super fare, and succumb to the delicious decadence that's made this gem a go-to since 2002.
Helmed by four siblings who traveled to The Big Apple all the way from a small mountainous village in Eastern Turkey, Sahara's reflects their many years in Istanbul and the other urban centers of Turkey, studying and working in the food and service industries. Founded as a family business, it's still being run as one after almost two decades.
Add a few hand-crafted Negronis or Manhattans with Hudson Short Stack Rye Whiskey, sweet vermouth, cocktail bitters, and orange bitters to the mix, sipping as you cuddle up to the dreamy atmosphere. Or, swoon over a few servings of bold red wine, all curated to heighten the flavors that will caress your palate.
Stuffed Vine Leaves packed with rice, pine nuts, currants, and cooked in olive oil set the tone for sensational bliss, moving on to char-grilled and oven barbecued marinated seared Atlantic Salmon. The Grilled Skirt Steak is a meaty dream, served with grilled vegetables and Turkish rice, then topped with herb butter sauce.
