"Ripped from the pages of Herman Melville’s classic novel, Moby-Dick," (Time Out), Quick Eternity is a maritime marvel located in a landmarked building in the South Street Seaport. Rich wood and windows streaming in light balance custom hand-painted murals featuring art and design inspired by the beloved 19th-century whaling novel.

The cocktails by Owner & Bar Manager Bryan Schneider are the real catch - creative, story-driven concoctions inspired by nautical lore. Think vintage ’70s metal horn glasses, fabulous garnishes, and infusions that make each tipple as theatrical as it is delicious. His resume is as impressive as the drinks, including Michelin-starred Daniel and Bad Roman.

In the kitchen, Chef Antonio Mora brings 25+ years of culinary experience, beginning his career at the renowned Ryland Inn under chef Craig Shelton before moving on to Michelin-starred Restaurant Daniel and later serving as sous chef at Restaurant Serenade in Chatham, New Jersey. He went on to become the opening executive chef at Avenue in Long Branch, earning a two-star review from The New York Times.

Returning to Manhattan, Mora served as chef de cuisine at Keith McNally’s Morandi, then led the kitchens at Frankie’s Spuntino, Prime Meats, and Café Pedlar in Brooklyn. He spent six years as executive chef at Quality Meats and helped open the French-inspired Quality Bistro in early 2020. Mora then collaborated with Sohail Zandi at Brushland Eating House in Bovina before taking on his current role at Hamden General, Tiny's Sandwich, and Quick Eternity.

Near the waters of the Hudson River, glossy stained wooden elements, brick walls, leather-backed chairs, mother of pearl touches, and staff dressed in striped sailor attire immerse you in the maritime spirit, giving Quick Eternity the feeling of a time portal to an era of legends, myths, and adventure.

The most striking feature is the dark, dramatic mural of the novel’s whale that looms beyond the polished driftwood counter. The creature bursts from a shadowy sea, the scene framed by weathered bones that appear to have been drawn from the beast itself. This maritime artwork was commissioned from Tribeca-based artist Azikiwe Mohammed.

For brunch, Chef Mora's Tiny's Sandwich is cooking up a real Nantucket-style feast of breakfast sandwiched and signature Hoecakes dripping in dreamy maple syrup. To add to the revelry, endless spritzes and mimosas will flow as freely as the currents that pulse through the sea.
