Since opening in 2015, Okiway has been winning over critics and fans with its Tokyo-meets-Brooklyn experience, centered around Okonomiyaki - the ultimate Japanese comfort food.
Grab your $39 pulse (a $62 value) to experience an incredible dinner for two, comprising 1 Small Plate, 2 Okonomiyaki or Large Plates, and 1 pitcher of beer or carafe of sake to share.
The showstopper here is Okonomiyaki, the savory pork-and-cabbage pancake, traditionally layered with luscious pork belly, Otafuku sauce, Kewpie mayo & bonito flakes. The various toppings from the East (crispy ramen, kimchi, fried tofu) and the West (BBQ pulled pork, chorizo) make this a foodie's dream adventure.
The whimsical ambiance also pays homage to Japan, with neon art, skateboards, and kitschy action figures that bring a flavor of Shinjuku to of-the-moment Bushwick.
A New York Times Headliner Okiway is "a new bistro where the Japanese pancake meets IHOP," and that mix of the exotic and the comforting has been drawing legions of NYC foodies to this hip Bushwick restaurant.

The signature dish Okonomiyaki, which literally means "grilled as you like it," is a pancake that comes in classic Osaka and Hiroshima styles, piled high with toppings of your choice. Other mouthwatering entrees include the Wasabi Miso Mac & Cheese and the Squid Ink Fried Rice - all creative, delightful and addictive.
Take a seat to watch the chefs flip the pancakes in the open kitchen on the teppanyaki griddle, pair your meal with beer or sake from the well-curated list.
