Chef and owner Giancarlo “Wendy” Cacciatori (James Beard Foundation, Via Emilia 9) named the spot after his grandmother, creating a nostalgic atmosphere steeped in tradition upheld by recipes handed down from generation to generation.
Further, many of the ingredients are imported directly from the storied Emilia-Romagna regionItaly to maintain Nonna Beppa’s rich heritage. Lush, tender meats seasoned and seared flawlessly beg to be sliced. Pastas are magically molded and delicately shaped by head pasta maker Martha Salamanca.
Add to the mix a sommelier-selected red or white wine from the cellar, a warm setting with whispers to rustic, far off trattorias, and Ecco! A most perfect meal awaits...

These elements combine to create dishes like the Filetto alla Griglia (a luscious filet mignon) and Steak Tartare (onions, pepper and Worcestershire sauce), both hearty enough to feed your inner carnivore.
