A hidden jewel of a restaurant nestled on Clinton Street, Lil' Gem is the collaboration of acclaimed Chef Melissa O'Donnell and restaurateur Lesly Bernard - and a tribute to their Lebanese connections.
Chef O'Donnell's grandmother was a daughter of Lebanese immigrants; and at Lil' Gem, she honors the magical flavors of the Levant with modern flourishes and organic ingredients.
To start, the Fried Cauliflower is drizzled in tahini. The Lahm Bi Ajin Flatbread layered with ground lamb, walnuts, grana padano and greens is another rich prelude to a fantastic meal.
Traditional Shawarmas and roasted meats take center stage for the main course. Try the Roasted Organic Chicken Breast Shawarma (paprika, coriander) served with Shatta, Toum, Tahini sauces and assorted pickled vegetables.
Toast to your evening with the Green Gaia (brandy, lemon, triple sec, sparkling wine, cilantro sugar rim) or if you're feeling adventurous, the signature Lil' Gem (gin, labneh, lime, simple syrup, salt & pepper). It's full of flavor, character, and surprises.... just like its namesake!
