Chef O'Donnell (Salt, Thelma) enlivens your favorite brunch dishes with inspiration drawn from her Lebanese heritage. Try the Shawarma Spiced Lamb Loin that comes with organic eggs and batata harra (coriander potatoes), or the Green Shashuka, fragrant with cilantro and pine nuts.

A hidden jewel of a restaurant nestled on Clinton Street, Lil' Gem is the collaboration of acclaimed Chef Melissa O'Donnell and restaurateur Lesly Bernard - and a tribute to their Lebanese connections.
Chef O'Donnell's grandmother was a daughter of Lebanese immigrants; and at Lil' Gem, she honors the magical flavors of the Levant with modern flourishes and organic ingredients.
A feeling of abundance is what defines a Lebanese table, and your brunch begins with a lovingly made Mezze like the Herbed Labneh (pistachio, lemon, olive oil) or the Smoked Eggplant Babaganoush spread over warm, fresh bread.
For your main, you'll love the Smoked Salmon Benedict laced with sumac and served with Lebanese Zucchini Fritters. Healthy eaters should try the Avocado Flatbread (dukkah, shatta, radish, lime) that is light yet exceedingly flavorful.
Round out your feast with a pitcher of Bloody Marys, Pomegranate Mimosas or Orange Mimosas - and let the good vibes wash over you!
