Husband & wife owners Noor and Luis’s journey began in the heart of Nolita, where they met while working at a quaint Italian café. Noor, whose passion for cuisine is rooted in her extensive experience, always knew she wanted to create a place where people could indulge in exceptional flavors and warm hospitality. This dream began to take shape when she and Luis shared their vision for something unique and personal.
Luis, a seasoned chef with over a decade of experience in the NYC culinary scene, brought his expertise and creativity to the table. Together, the couple crafted a menu inspired by their love for food and each other, which became the foundation of El Sabor Citrico de Mexico. After the arrival of their daughter, their dream expanded, and they ventured into entrepreneurship, blending their culinary talents and business savvy.
Now at the helm of Citrico, Noor upholds the core values of a family-owned and operated establishment. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has been a reflection of her dedication to quality and passion for Mexican cuisine.
