Authentic in every way, Citizens was founded by two Australian friends looking to bring their convivial culture to the city that never sleeps, offering an edible escape from the concrete jungle via plates of bountiful assemblages that illuminate your taste buds.
Director of Culinary Operations Vanessa Miller (Hill Country, Royalton Hotel) oversees the kitchen, assuring that every serving is simultaneously satisfying and photogenic, as portrayed in the Banana Bread French Toast (maple banana bread French toast, caramelized banana, mascarpone, miso butterscotch, black sesame soy powder).
Seasonally-inspired and prepared to make your jaw-drop upon arrival and first bite, the Salmon Eggs are a fan favorite, repping smoked salmon and poached eggs on on rye sourdough, or the Cheddar Biscuit Brekkie Sandwich with gruyere, thick-cut bacon, homemade tomato chutney, and soft scrambled eggs.
