Inspired by the diaspora cuisine of Chinese immigrants in Darjeeling, India, Chef Mehta creates otherworldly dishes using the singe of the wok, the sizzle of the Tandoori oven, and a myriad of fresh aromatics & exquisite spices.
The Manchurian Steak brightened with cilantro, the Kung Bao Chicken steeped in deggi mirch, fennel, black lava salt and baked Tandoori-style, and the Hong Kong Pan Fried Noodle in a savory broth, topped with a fried egg are just a few of the ingenious, evocative delights.

Founded by acclaimed husband-wife restaurateurs Salil Mehta and Stacey Lo (of Michelin-starred Laut fame), The Chinese Club pays tribute to the eponymous supper club established by Lo's great-grandfather more than a century ago in Darjeeling.
Like the 1914 original, The Chinese Club is a culinary crossroads of revelatory flavors, textures, and aromas from the bountiful south coast of China and the mythical, tea-rich highlands of the lesser Himalayas.
Add to this the sophistication of modern New York City, and you get remarkable dishes like the Buttery Black Pepper Steak and the Peking Sauce BBQ Ribs served over a bed of fried rice, cilantro, and a boiled egg.
Leave room for sensational desserts, such as the Coconut Ice Cream served over Chinese waffle and sprinkled with fried noodles, cereal, lychee - and speared with Pocky sticks. Not only is it eminently photogenic, it is also legitimately addictive.
