Grab your $79 pulse (a $140 value) for a 3 Course Dinner For Two that includes 1 Appetizer, 2 Entrees, 1 Dessert, and 2 Cocktails, Glasses of Wine, or Beers.
Conceptualized and helmed by Chef Omar Walters (Omar’s Kitchen, Rum Bar), the menu focuses on classic French dishes with Jamaican influences. Spotlighting Jamaica’s native fruits and vegetables throughout each dish, expect sensational, high-impact mouthfuls that will transport your taste buds with every bite.
Tucked away on a picturesque corner in the West Village, this gem beckons as it sizzles with social buzz. Sip on lavish crafted cocktails as you kick off the night with some refreshing Tartare De Thon (Tuna Tartare), where sashimi-grade tuna meets the zesty embrace of capers and mango salsa.
But the journey doesn’t stop there. Prepare to be dazzled by the succulent, ultra-juicy, drool-inducing Steak Au Poivre, a prime New York strip steak bathed in a luxurious crushed black pepper and pimento sauce that ignites the senses with every tender mouthful.
And just when you think it can’t get any better, a velvety Crème Brûlée arrives in all its creamy, delicate, and perfectly caramelized glory, leaving a sweet, unforgettable note to close out the evening...
Succulent cuts of premium meat, the freshest seafood, crisp, locally-sourced vegetables, and hand-picked delicacies brought in from France & the Caribbean - expect all of the above, making its way into the recipe and onto your taste buds at Chez Omar. An enchanting, wondrous, wanderlust-sparking feast awaits at this West Village jewel!
Chef Omar Walter is the brains behind the magic here. Inspired by his Jamaican roots and Caribbean travels, this comes as a second iteration of Omar's Kitchen and Rum Bar in NYC's Lower East Side. His initial interest in Jamaica’s native fruits and vegetables led to an all-out exploration of a culture that blends a Caribbean twang with playful French culinary infusions, adding in a New York twist for the ultimate blend of cultures & flavors.
Featuring designs by Walters’ sister Chelsea, and hand-painted murals by NYC artist Anthony Scotto, the interiors create a colorful aesthetic that pays homage to Jamaica, while the crisp white tablecloths and air of refinement nod to chic French bistros. All the while, you'll let tipples like craft cocktails, luscious wines, and bubbly beers add a splash of whimsy to the evening.
Sink your teeth straight into the signature, New York Times-applauded Moules Frites (mussels, white wine, thyme, garlic, leek broth, fries), moving on to pan seared Branzino, or Cotelettes D'Agneau, aka grilled lamb chops adorned with a thyme & rosemary glaze.
As the delectable liquids in your glasses dwindle, save room for a dessert of Cognac Cheesecake. A night at Chez Omar is a night you'll crave again & again...
All selections will be made from the restaurant's full dinner menu.

"Just finished dinner here and am beyond impressed. We got a pulsd voucher for a dinner for two and I swear this is an understatement - it was incredible! You get a few drinks and some of the best delish food I've had in a really long time. I ordered the tuna tartare and the steak with the pepper sauce - im still dreaming of both and how fresh & high quality everything was. YUM. The atmosphere is very Paris-chic with a Caribbean twist, and the staff were really nice. Can't wait to go back again and again!"
"First the restaurant is located in such a beautiful location, it was nice to enjoy the water while we ate. The ambience was very pleasant and the decor was stunning. Very fresh and tasty drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, each dish was so tasty and super enjoyable. The escargot and the mussels were delicious appetizers. And we really enjoyed the oxtail, the prime rib and the lamb. Fantastic dining experience."
"We had amazing oxtail and the steak was perfect, steaming and so delicious. We loved our experience at Chez Omar. A gem with a view of the Hudson."
