After nearly two decades of experience in the restaurant industry, restauranteur Besim Kukaj and Chef Angel Sanchez set out to create a high end, at-home Mexican feeling at Serenata.
Nestled on 17th Street in Chelsea just across the street from the Rubin Museum, the new restaurant offers an inviting and fun atmosphere, with distinct colorful murals on the walls.
Start your feast with the Antojitos course (Appetizers) of your choice, including Taquitos (slow-cooked shredded beef, crispy olives, crema) and Flautas de Pollo (chicken, black bean pasilla sauce, hoja santa aioli).
Next, move on to a hearty entree, choosing from Quesadillas & Burritos, Tacos, and House Specialties. Think the tender Carne Asada platter (grilled ribeye, wild mushroom true bread pudding, chimichurri), or mouthwatering tacos like Pescados (beer-battered sea bass, tartar, citrus coleslaw).
